Young Men of Prestige, Power & Purpose!
The Urban League of Nebraska Guild hosted it's 30th Annual Beautillion on Sunday, February 18, 2007
at the Qwest Center Omaha. There were 13 African American male high school Seniors from local area high schools that participated.
The Beautillion is targeted towards senior high school African-American males attending either a public or private school in Omaha, Nebraska. Young men with a Grade Point Average of 2.5 or higher are encouraged to participate with their parent(s) consent. Since 1977, the Beautillion has been a scholarship fundraiser providing a mentoring component for the young men and their mother’s the opportunity to present their sons’ to the public as they transition into manhood.
This year Divine Shelton of Northwest High School was crowned Mr. Beautillion 2007.
